Don't I get the best price if I book direct with the cruise line?

This is probably the most common thing I hear, and I get it. It sounds logical. Cut out the middleman, go straight to the source, get the best price. Here's the problem with that: cruise lines set the price. Every website that sells their cruises, including their own, has the same fare. There is no secret direct rate hiding behind the 1-800 number.

What you actually give up when you book direct is everything that happens around the price. Exclusive value-added perks you won't find anywhere else. Honest, unbiased information about whether that drink package actually makes financial sense for how you cruise. Help sorting out pre and post-trip hotel stays. Someone in your corner when something goes wrong. You're not saving money booking direct. You're just booking without the backup.

Will I lose control of my booking if I don't book directly with the cruise line?

You don't lose control. You just have a different point of contact, and honestly, a better one.

When you book directly with a cruise line, your point of contact is a call center with a rotating cast of representatives. You call with a question, you get whoever picks up. That person may or may not have the full picture of your reservation, and the advice you get depends entirely on who answers. When you book through me, you have one person who knows every detail of your booking and will give you accurate, unbiased information every time you call. That's not less control. That's more of it.

You can make additional payments online at JenAndJoel.com or by calling Joel directly at 833-483-6669. Either way works.

How do I purchase excursions and onboard extras like WiFi and drink packages?

As soon as your payment is applied to your booking, you can access your reservation directly through your account on the cruise line's website. Excursions, drink packages, specialty dining, and any other extras are purchased directly through them. You're not waiting on Jen or Joel to handle any of that, although we can answer your questions and give you advice.

How do I reach you with questions or advice before or after I book my cruise?

Call Joel anytime at 833-483-6669. Before you book, after you book, or if something comes up while you're getting ready to sail. I'm not available around the clock and I don't always catch the phone on the first ring, but I will get back to you.

Can I apply a Future Cruise Credit or a voucher I purchased on my last cruise?

If you have a Future Cruise Credit or purchased a voucher while on a previous cruise, those can't be applied to an online booking. But you can still use either or both and take advantage of the perks you'd get booking with Jen and Joel. Just call Joel at 833-483-6669 and I'll handle it.
